LEMON OIL


Lemon Oil is extracted directly from the peel of the lemon, making the essential oil purer than squeezing the liquid from the fruit.


The benefits of cleansing, uplifting, and energizing make it a great universal essential oil to always have on hand. Read my post about the benefits of essential oils during the winter season. Here are a few ideas on how to use Lemon oil in your daily life:


  • Add 1-2 drops of lemon oil to your water. It adds yummy lemon flavor while providing cleansing properties to your liver, helping it detox. I like starting my day with a cup of warm water and 2 drops of lemon oil in my glass. It kick-starts my digestion and aids in rehydration from the night before.



  • Add a few drops of Lemon oil to a spray bottle* with water, and use it to clean countertops or surfaces around the home. Grab this great printout to keep on hand for your cleaning products:


  • Add a few drops of Lemon oil to warm water to remove sticky residue or grease from the skin. Also, did you know you can use Lemon oil to remove permanent markers? It removes the marker without damaging the wood or paint.

LAVENDER OIL


When we think of essential oils, Lavender * is the one that comes to most of our minds. Lavender has so many wonderful everyday uses.


The calming, floral aroma of Lavender is perfect to diffuse around the home. The Lavender oil is derived from the Lavender flower, providing many health benefits like soothing the skin, promoting restful sleep, and easing tension.


Below are a few more ideas on how to use Lavender oil:


  • Lavender can aid in opening up airways to promote clearer breathing.


  • Add Lavender oil to your daily skin care regimen. Lavender helps to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections.


  • Add a few drops of Lavender oil on the bottoms of your feet or to your pillow to promote relaxation.


  • Adding a few drops of Lavender oil to 1 cup of Epsom salts and adding to a bath decreases tension and increases relaxation.


PEPPERMINT


Peppermint oil is derived from the leaves of a Peppermint plant, offering a minty, refreshing aroma that is energizing.


Peppermint oil promotes healthy respiratory function, aids in clearer breathing, and helps soothe digestion upset if rubbed on the stomach. You will want to keep this oil in your essential oil collection.


Below are a few uses of Peppermint oil in your daily life:


  • Put two drops of peppermint oil in the palm of your hand, rub it, and inhale the aroma. This offers a mid-day pick-me-up.


  • Rub Peppermint on both temples in the morning or any time of the day for an energy boost.


  • Diffuse Peppermint oil around the home to promote clearer breathing.


  • Add peppermint oil to a cool water footpath or compress it to cool off if overheated.


As your essential oil journey progresses, your knowledge of oils and oil blends will drastically grow.
